Have you ever visited Balang Lompo Island? Uhm…Well, if you haven’t, let me tell you about Balang Lompo Island. Balang Lompo Island is an island which belongs to Pangkep, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is located in Pangkep Regency. Its about the west of Pangkep regency. Balang Lompo is a small island against which Sulawesi island. Its population is about one thousand people. Most the Balang Lompo’s people live in very simple house.
Oh, yeah! This small island is unique in many aspects such as historic place and their culture. Balang Lompo is beautiful island but there are many rubbish which make the beaches is coming in sight very dirty. Are you still with me? OK, thank you. Let’s continue. Well, since Balang Lompo lies near the equatorial line of course, it has tropical climate, with nice weather in both dry and rainy season.
Food! Uhm…yummy…yummy…yummy, this is the part that I like very much! Balang lompo’s people have special cookie. The special cookie is “Doi-doi”. “Doi-doi” is circle cookie. This cookie is like money so the Balang Lompo’s people named it Doi-doi. Doi-doi have special taste. The taste is sweet.
What about tourist object? Uhm… there are many a good place such as quay, big mosque, and old cemetery.
Balang lompo is one of beautiful place in Pangkep and there are still beautiful place in Pangkep regency, they are Leang Kassi, Mattampa, Leang lonrong,Biring kassi, Tabo-tabo and so on.
